I tried using the right click context menu mechanism on my Ubuntu machine for both FuryFit and ConvFit and I get very strange behavior. None of the linear background terms in FuryFit can be fixed. The context menu doesn't appear at all for those. ConvFit seems to be OK is this respect. For those parts with multiple terms, if I fix at least N > 2 terms, I can only unfix one of them and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to the one it unfixes. Fixing the first and third with a three parameter list doesn't allow either of two fixed parameters to be unfixed.

should work better now, though the background parameter for furyfit is still not to be fixed. from memory, this is what the users requested.

The parameter fixing mechanism behaves much better and has the correct behavior after the latest fixes, so it's good to me.
