Windows: ScriptWindow sometimes unusable after MantidPlot restart

Reported by: Martyn Gigg Owned by: Martyn Gigg
Priority: blocker Milestone: Iteration 28
Component: Mantid Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:
Blocking: Tester: Russell Taylor

Description

I've only seen this on Windows

To reproduce:

  • First remove the registry keys that relate to the size and pos of the script window. Go to regedit and key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ISIS\MantidPlot\ScriptWindow then delete the sub entries labled "pos" and "size"
  • Start MantidPlot
  • Open the Script Window
  • Minimize it, don't close it
  • Now close down MantidPlot
  • Restart MantidPlot
  • Open the Script Window
  • It should not appear anywhere

(In [11217]) Fixes #2912. Ensure that if the script window doesn't save inappropriate sizes to the persistent store or get itself in a state where it can't be shown, i.e. saving the position after minimizing.

Behaves on 32 bit XP with 1.28.11217 and 64 bit Windows 7 with 1.28.11222. (I previously reproduced the bug with a build from yesterday).
