Instrument View Crash using new NVIDIA drivers

Description

On RHEL6 using a recent (need to investigate just how recent) binary NVIDIA driver when displaying the instrument view, the X server restarts and the user is left at the login prompt.

I know that version 256.53 (x86_64) of the NVIDIA drivers works ok.

You have to be sat in front of the machine to observe the crash.

I have tested this again using the newest drivers from NVIDIA (270.41.06) and it seems to work.

The bad version on RHEL6 was 260.19.29

Since it works on the newest driver... I don't think we need to do anything.

We saw the same issue on RHEL5 with a bad set (or installation) of NVIDIA drivers. Reinstalling the same drivers in that case cured the problem.

In both cases no code was changed so this isn't our issue.
