Contour plots crashing Mantid and freezing system

From Spencer,

I’ve had a fault for a week or 2 now where Mantid hangs (not responding) & I have to use Task Manager to kill it. It appears to be after plotting – possibly Contour. On my Office PC running XP the screen/cursor is unusable/locked and I have to restart the PC. On my home PC running Win7 – when it hangs the Mantid icons on the bar flash!

(In [12783]) If the bug in contours this should fix it. The mantidplot crashed when a 2D plot with contour lines is zoomed too deeply. re #3214

This seems to be fine in 1.29.12843. However other bug noticed and raised #3240
