This was mentioned in the 2012 Mantid workshop.

One suggestion is that the remove error bar icon would be the same but in red.

Added a new icon for Remove Error Bars on the graph menu

To Test:

  1. Start Mantidplot, load some data and create a line graph
  2. With the graph selected open the graph menu
  3. the Add error bars and remove error bars icons should be different and make sense.

The Remove Error Bars... icon now has a red line through it, which makes it easy to distinguish from the Add Error Bars... icon.

I tested this on Ubuntu 12.04, and was unable to view any icons in the menu bar (is this a known issue?). I then tested this on Windows 7 and was able to view the change as expected.
