To test:

Start Mantid and execute the USANSSimulation algorithm: 

usans_main, usans_mon = USANSSimulation(0.01)

You should be able to view the instrument in the usans_main workspace.

The usans_mon workspace should be a matrix workspace with a single spectrum representing the monitor counts as a function of TOF.
