Description

Test the new installation unscripted. You should spend approximately 1 hour on this and report any issues found as soon as possible. Areas of the VSI you should probably try:

  • Install and uninstall
  • Cube axes
  • Re-binning
  • Menus
  • View switching.
  • Default views and backgrounds via Preferences
  • Overplotting Peaks Workspaces, zooming and selecting
  • Drag and drop
  • Launching the slice viewer from the multislice mode

Tested on OSX and found:

  1. Pop up screen when starting the VSI
  2. Slice Viewer cannot be started from the Multislice view
  3. The peaks table headers don't have colors (might be OS thing)
  4. Having a cut filter in standard view and switching to either splatterplot or to QuadView is an issue -> breaks
  5. Cannot load the sample ellipsoids workspace into Mantidplot

Issue 4 was a true issue which was fixed.

Issues 1 and 5 could not be reproduced on Owen's machine.

I can reproduce issue 1, but not issue 5. The sample ellipsoids loads and opens in the VSI without errors.
