in [5945] shortcut to LoadEvent exists on "Load" button on workspaces pane. however, not present when you right click on "workspaces" pane (as Load raw, nxs, dae are) or from File->load

will consult with Martyn when he returns from lunch

The menu is there in the Workspaces dock; menu in the main File menu and on the toolbar would be a good addition.
