From Garrett Granroth: The units factory needs an Ef unit. ie it is -(\DeltaE -Ei). Also having a \DeltaE in THz as well as meV would be helpful.

I would like to see the Ef unit in the next release (I don't mean the December release :) ). Although it might be worth going back to the scientists for a general expansion of units. In addition, I could see adding Ei for indirect, kf for direct. Temperature, Magnetic field, Electric Field, Pressure, to use for plotting logs. If adding Ef became part of a more general expansion, it could be two releases out.

Garrett says that it's OK for this to be rolled into the 'doing units properly' task that was a (longer term) outcome of the January SSC.
