Mantid crashes after 30-40 SANS runs - Memory leak?

Reported by: Nick Draper Owned by: Steve Williams
Priority: critical Milestone: Iteration 27
Component: Mantid Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:
Blocking: #2287 Tester: Brett Tully

Description

Yes the latest download is still crashing after doing about 30 or 40 data reductions, all from python.

Richard

Suspect there is a memory leak still, Mantid fell over on me yesterday and again today with an exception after running for a few hours. For this we will keep an eye out, especially in our release testing, if this seems to be consistent with new version please let me know.

After running SANS scripts a number of times on the build server I been unable to find a problem.

Hi Richard, I've been unable to find a memory leak or crashes in Mantid (ticket #2229). If it terminates again please send me the log file (e.g. C:\MantidInstall\logs\mantid.log), some Python scripts that you were running and your version number of Mantid.

Thank you, Steve

(In [8849]) Fixed an error that sometimes Q1D doesn't set the distribution flag set and a problem with progress reporting. re #2229

I haven't been able to get crashes on my computer or the system test server but if it crashes for you let me know. The mantid log file would be very useful for this.
