Investigate possible crashed on the VSI

Description

Jon Taylor gave us some feedback that the VSI was giving him a few crashes (unfortunately in relatively random places (once when rebinning, once when just changing the colour scaling). Unfortunately they were not reproducable directly.

Could you spend an hour or so doing unscripted testing within the VSI & sliceviewer to see if you get anything similar?

Going to need WAY more information that this. My unscripted testing with a near recent OSX kit shows no issues. As I can't possibly test EVERY combination someone does, carefully keeping track of what one does is going to be of paramount importance, although kind of painful.

Even if we find any issues the opportunity to resolve any has now passed for R3.2
