Add unit test back into develop

Description

We've got a failing develop build because of a unit test is conflicting between branches. Move the test to this ticket and keep it off develop for now.

Changes from #9964 are now back in develop and the failing test (IndirectApplyCorrectionsTest) is now passing again.

Since the work I did on #9344 was mainly automated it is easy enough to start from a clean branch when #9964 is passed.
