Description

Pete, you mentioned that there was work ongoing to improve the IDFs for triple axis. As mentioned in the reflectometry meeting 11th March 2015, Arturs is having trouble with the IDFs, this is also something he raised during the SSC meeting. http://www.mantidproject.org/SSC_2015_Reflectometry

"Calculations based on IDF too simplistic"

We should find out.

  • What exactly are his problems that he wants to solve and what are the use cases that are missing?
  • Could the fixes be applied in a general way?
  • What is the proposed design for these fixes.

This is not a ticket to provide any code implementation for the fix. Just requirements gathering and design.
