In the Edit parameter values dialog box, but outside the table area, there could be drop down boxes for "Log Name" and "Averaging type" and a "Set from Logs" button. The "Log name" could be pre-populated with the names of the logs attached to the first workspace (assuming that all will have log entries for the one of interest) and the "Averaging type" would have "Mean", "Min", "Max", "First", "Last" - this has no effect if a single-valued log entry is chosen. On clicking "Set from Logs" the values would be filled in for inspection before the user then clicks "OK" at the bottom.
