Add certain files to a folder in the user's home directory when installing on the Mac

Reported by: Russell Taylor Owned by: Russell Taylor
Priority: minor Milestone: Iteration 30
Component: Mantid Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:
Blocking: Tester: Nick Draper

Description

The way Mantid installs on the Mac leads to everything going into a directory (/Applications/MantidPlot.app/) which appears as a single icon in the Finder. This means that some users may not be aware that it's a directory and thus will not be able to find, e.g., the scripts.

We should move the things that should be visible to another place, such as a directory in the user's home directory.

As part of this, the logs should go there instead of into a hidden directory.
