Description
- Use a powder run with a well-defined peak. e.g. Nickel at 2.034 Ang and 1.762 Ang. SNAP run: 4111.
- Use an algorithm that twiddles the position and tilts of each bank in 6 degrees of freedom, within a certain range.
- Optimize that so as to have the sharpest powder peak possible.
- Will possibly need the data to be reduced in order for this to be faster.
- SumSpectra in blocks of 2x2 or 4x4
- Fit a peak and find its position near the known peak.
- Use that to find the sample-detector distance
- Make a fit to the N (possibly) averaged points that fits the detector plane to it.
