SANS: Improve UI - Python integration

The Python variable space needs to “keep up” with changes to parameters set in the gui. Then clever bits of Python to do plots etc will all keep working. We won’t want to transfer data back the other way from Python to the gui.

We should update each value in the python evnt after the control has lost focus and validated. Rather than performing all of the python command on the Reduce buttons alone.

This ticket, although important, will be set to low priority for now. As I am fixing other sans tickets I will attempt to do steps to improve sans UI - Python interaction, including (although these should be farmed as seperate tickets):

1) reduce the use of globals where possible

2) be aware of the SNS sans WorkFlowAlgorithms
