Show Instrument broken on RHEL5

Description

The show instrument functionality seems broken on RHEL5. It just hangs. This seems to have been the case since the latest release version.

Tried on a rhel5 machine, it worked.

Tested via ssh & X11 from my RHEL6 box to the thundercracker Jenkins build.

Displaying an instrument was slow, and gave the console message "Unrecognised OpenGL version", but it worked in the end.
