Problems with Mantid RPM when MAKE_VATES is set on

Reported by: Martyn Gigg Owned by: Owen Arnold
Priority: major Milestone: Release 2.0
Component: Mantid Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:
Blocking: Tester: Michael Reuter

Description

The Mantid RPM generated by CPack when the MAKE_VATES switch is on also includes the Paraview and libVTK dependencies which should only be on the mantid_vates package.

Owen, feel free to reassign this if necessary.

I don't think that this is any longer a problem. We have two different packages generated for our RPMs one with Vates enabled, and one without. We also have no explicit need to support RHEL5 for the Vates configuration. RHEL6 packages are generated now for both versions with and without vates.

This can only be correctly solved by implementing a component based RPM via CMake or rolling our own spec file. The current solution is to run with and without MAKE_VATES in serial when producing the RPMs.
