On Windows, this fails with the error: No module named pyexpat.

Work for me on Windows 7 using the Mantid-only installer. What exact version are you using on what OS?

Windows 7 using a development version of Mantid compiled using VS2010. Is there some magic path variable that I should have setup?

This works fine in the installer version, but not in development. Since a dev version doesn't affect users, this is OK.
