Stop OpenGL error when showing instrument on Windows XP 32-bit

The error message - "OpenGL error detected in paintEvent: invalid operation"

is shown when you click the option to show instrument on the 32-bit XP DELL laptop we have in the office.

It gets stuck on the last instrument view that was shown until you either resize the window or drag the instrument around the screen.

When showing the instrument of a workspace the graphics still mess up and the only way to sort it out currently is to resize the window.

The error message "OpenGL error detected in paintEvent: invalid operation" still appears.
