Explore the performance of MDWorkspaces vs splitting value/criterion

Description

Have a script that runs through split into =2,3,4 etc. Dennis suggests that 2 might be a good value.

This is kind of an ongoing task to determine the best splitting parameters. In particular, this may be important when doing large inelastic data sets, e.g. MergeMDFiles.
