Windows starting out hidden on loading a saved project

Description
On Win32, all the windows (graphs, matrices, tables) are being hidden on loading a saved project, even though they weren't when it was saved. They're in the project explorer but otherwise not visible. This was OK for me as little as a week ago (on Linux at least).
Also, I'm getting a crash on exit ("Heap corruption detected") after doing no more than loading a saved project.

Works for me, though the windows don't retain their positions. Don't remember if they used to.

switching windows fails if some of the windows are floating (Graphs in my case)
