Package version number from source tarball is not correct

Description

If you download the source tarball and type make package then you end up with a package that always has a minor number of 0. The package version then doesn't match the source tarball.

This is referring to the last, or patch, number: e.g. the 441 in 2.0.441. Previously, this would have given 2.0.0.

I compiled and made the package from the source tarball and I get the same version number on the package as the source tarball.
