Description (last modified by Anders Markvardsen) (diff)
The scientists want the ability to keep the fit even if they go back and change the bunching, or scale, etc.
Currently the data is re-plotted and the fitting is deleted.
Hint: The fitting data is still contained within the workspace and could be re-plotted on the graph.

Robert's old tickets returned to you for assessment.
Are they still valid, duplicates?

Quite an old one, should ask scientists if it is still valid/required.

Steve writes in email today: Essentially if we’ve completed a fit and have a graph with the data and corresponding fit, we’d like to be able to rescale/rebunch the plot (in settings) keeping the fit line displayed.

To tester:
The MantidPlot->Muon Analysis interface has in Settings tab an combobox with name 'Plot creation' which when selected with either 'None' or 'Auto-Update' no not Overwrite the plot

It seems that with the proper settings you could get the desired behavior. This is documented in http://www.mantidproject.org/MuonAnalysisSettings. But the behavior will depend on what are your defaults or previous settings. At first, this can be a bit counterintuitive.
But I cannot get it to work with current master. These are the steps that I followed:
- "Home" -> load a dataset
- "Settings" -> set "New plot policy" to "Auto-Update" (without overwrite)
- "Data Analysis" -> do a fit
- "Settings" -> change for example Autoscale (tick, untick), and the fit curves are gone.
Alternative sequence:
- before the fitting step, unset/untick "Autoscale" in "Settings"
- "Data Analysis" -> do the fit
- "Settings" -> change Minimum/Maximum, and the fit curves are gone
Am I doing something wrong? Do you need to follow a particular sequence of steps to get it working?
Other actions, like modifying the plot axes by double-clicking on them (or right click->Properties) do not clear the fitting curves.
