MUON: Start and end have an effect on plotting instead of just the scale.

Reported by: Robert Whitley Owned by: Anders Markvardsen
Priority: major Milestone: Release 3.0
Component: Muon Keywords:

Blocking: Tester: Russell Taylor

Description

Change the settings tab start and finish values then load some data. Now extend the scale of the x axis and you will notice that the data looks as if it has been chopped off.

Robert's old tickets returned to you for assessment.

Are they still valid, duplicates?

By my reading of the ticket description, this still doesn't work (though the resolution may be 'wontfix'). Here's exactly what I did (tried on RHEL6 & Windows):

  • Started the Muon Interface
  • On the Settings tab, selected Custom Value for the Time Axis and entered 8 (start) & 10 (finish)
  • Back on the Home tab, browsed to the first MUSR file in the AutoTestData directory
  • On the produced graph, double-clicked on the X axis & changed 'From' to 6 & 'To' 10
  • The displayed data points still only cover the range 8-10 with white space either side.

Hi Russell thanks for clarifying this.

I now understand what Robert meant by this ticket!

And it fact this is absolute fine, i.e. the behavior you observe with the steps above is ok
