Description

The panels for the TOPAZ instrument have several layers of bad edge pixels. A path in the PeakIntegration Algorithm involves fitting the data. The fits should be more accurate by eliminating these invalid pixels in the fitting

A parameter to specify the number of bad edge pixels has been added to the algorithm. This was tested by integrating peaks from TOPAZ 5638, in two ways; specifying 0 bad edge pixels and specifying 10 bad edge pixels. The integration results were identical for peaks that were not near edges. Peaks near edges had larger integrated intensities when no edge pixels were discarded.
