Once #1738 has been created. Generate a python script to:

  • Loop through each IDF in the instruments directory.
  • Validate the IDF against the common XSD schema.
  • Output the results into a Jenkins-friendly IDF output file.

This script will probably have to utilise a non-shipped module such as MiniXsv.

Execution of this script should be set-up as a Jenkins job. Probably doesn't need to be run more frequently than once a day.

I'm not going to fix this ticket during this iteration, because we have exceeded the allowance for the system improvements. This might be a useful job to get going during the next system improvement window.
