Description

It was brought up at a technical audit that FileFinder has become a little unwieldly. Also, its interaction with FileProperty & MultipleFileProperty are complex and each is trying to do overlapping things, i.e. extension handling.

The whole concept needs a rethink with a proper eye on efficiency of remote file searching, especially for the failure cases! This links with the way we handle extensions as well as that's a little flaky.
