I cannot do Function Fitting

Reported by: Karl Palmen Owned by: Karl Palmen
Priority: critical Milestone: Release 3.0
Component: MantidPlot Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:

Description (last modified by Karl Palmen) (diff)

In the course of unscripted testing #6402, I found I could not do any function fitting. This may be because the toolbar button is missing and the documentation is not up to date with alternative instructions.

To test run the parts of the test described in #6402 for fitting.

Actually I do see the toolbar shown in http://www.mantidproject.org/MantidPlot:_Simple_Peak_Fitting_with_the_Fit_Wizard but it is disabled, even if I select a graph.

This appears to be an issue only on Karl PC, the toolbar does not activate on selecting graphs

The problem persists on a re-installation of Mantid after deleting the MantidInstall directory.

The problem also applies to an old build from 21 January 2013, before the toolbar changes were implemented.

It also doesn't work for a new build taken from master.

Karl, Try removing all your registry keys relating to mantidplot or qtiplot
