My guess is a binary incompatibility between Mantid (VS2012) and the current ParaView kit (VS2010). Unfortunately, ISIS is the only place where a kit can be built. I've been slowly scraping things back together after the VS2012 broke everything Windows thing that was working before. Let's try a new kit first. Tag your it!

I'm probably the best person to do this at ISIS. I won't be able to start on this until Tuesday, so anyone is free to start on it before then.

I've been able to get ParaView 3.10.1 built with VS2012 thanks to Martyn's help. I've got Mantid compiled in VS2012 and have verified that the VSI works. I think this strengthens the argument that it's some incompatibility between VS2010 in the ParaView kit and VS2012 in the current Mantid kit. However, I cannot make a ParaView kit from my build (generates errors). Plus I don't have the installer tweaks that were added.

- Status changed from accepted to verify
- Resolution set to fixed
The download page now has the correct binary compatible ParaView. This is in the nightly build section. http://download.mantidproject.org/
Tester: You should be able to install the nightly built versions of Mantid and Paraview and be able to open the VSI with some MD data. Contact me if you don't know how to do this.

Both Pete and I have checked this and it is working again. Thanks Owen.
