[ICAT] Default search instrument

In #7637 Owen noted that the:

Search instrument selection should default to your current default instrument.

Set instrument in search to user default instrument. Refs #8204.

  • Removed sorting as instruments are ordered by name in the query.

To test

  1. Go to Help -> First time setup. in the menu.
  2. Select a default instrument, or change your current.
  3. Log into the catalog and you will notice that the Instrument name: is your default instrument if it exists in the list, otherwise it's the old default ("").

This works as described.

There are some problems when your default facility is not supported by ICat, but that's already known about: #1824
