We have a strong requirement to bundle the IPython notebook with Mantid.

Previous message from Martyn against #9648:

It turns out that our bundles don't have everything that would make this easy so I'm pushing it back to 3.3

Owen is very happy to help out with this where possible.

There are currently no code changes in the main repository for this as it just required extra packages in the Third Party repos.

To test it would be best to get a package from ​develop_clean and try it out by:

  1. Installing Mantid
  2. Depending on the platform
  • Windows: Open a command prompt and type C:\MantidInstall\bin\Scripts\ipython notebook
  • OS X: Open a terminal and type /Applications/MantidPlot.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/ipython notebook

Works nicely on OSX now. ipython gets the execute permission.
