Mantid slow down and crash after plotting instrument

Reported by: Nick Draper Owned by: Martyn Gigg
Priority: minor Milestone: Release 2.1
Component: Mantid Keywords:
Cc: Blocked By:
Blocking: Tester: Nick Draper

Description

I have noticed a new bug on my Ubuntu box as well as the WISH red hat computers. Rob Dalgliesh has noticed the same bug on the SANS red hat machines. After displaying an instrument view, Mantid becomes extremely slow, to the point where it become unusable. After a while it is essentially frozen and die. This has happened already twice yesterday with our users on WISH. I never experienced this bugs in the previous releases.
