Description

SNS ICAT4 has been in production since summer 2012. This is to modify the SNS archive search to try out ICAT4 web service first to find file locations for a given run. If the run is not found in ICAT4, then try ICAT2. This approach will give us a grace period to transition from ICAT2 to ICAT4.

I can see that the new ADARA files are being found and the standard SNS NeXus files are also being found. I'm waiting on ISIS to verify things are working for them.

There seems to be some strange behavior if a file is not found. Mantid looks like it locks up and doesn't come out unless a run is forced from the load dialog.

After hearing from the ISIS folks and talking with Shelly, the speed problem is a known issue from the past. The changes made by this ticket effect finding files from ICAT4. I've opened up #6307 to address ICAT versions less than 4. BTW, ICAT4 returns very fast when a file is not found.
