Win 64 - In testing the GUI when MantidPlot is launched, I found a bug in 'Draw arrow' and 'Draw line'.

Mantid crashes when you draw one - an arrow or line - and then double-click on it.

I found I can print a 2D graph, but not a picture of the instrument. It may be because 0printing of such a view is not support. I can be done via a sreen shot.

comment:11 Changed 7 years ago by Karl Palmen

I am unable to manipulate graphs from the toolbar, but can from the menu bar. This may be related to ticket #6472

To use the Send To option a workspace, I needed to configure Mantid to Send to HDFView, this required setting saveusing, which i set to SaveNexus, but the algorithm manager throught it was SaveNexu so produced an error message with the Send, which otherwise apparently worked OK.

comment:13 Changed 7 years ago by Karl Palmen

A closer look shows that the Algorithm Manager attempted to create algorithms 'S', 'Sa', 'Sav', 'Save', 'SaveN', 'SaveNe', SaveNex' and 'SaveNexu' and would have been successful in creating 'SaveNexus'.

comment:14 Changed 7 years ago by Karl Palmen

The Algorithms menu has two categories 'Crystal' and 'crystal'. The 'crystal' category has 'PeaksInRegion v.1' and 'PeaksOnSurface v.1'. I think these should be in category 'Crystal' and have created ticket #7558 for this.

comment:15 Changed 7 years ago by Karl Palmen

To obtain offline help, I needed to select 'Algorithms Descriptions' in the help menu.

The offline help shows only two algorithms in the catagory Crystal. These are the two in catagory crystal. I expect fixing ticket #7558 would fix this.

comment:17 Changed 7 years ago by Karl Palmen

In checking offline help, I have found that the picture of the dialog box often runs over the table but never runs over any text in the table, except the 'description' column header.

I tried cancelling the load of a large WISH file. The first attempt as early in loading a WISH raw file while progress was 0%. It was very slow in responding, but eventually cancelled the load possibly afer performing it. The second attempt was loading a large WISH Nexus file part way into load, it had no effect.

I think a task ticket for improving algorthm cancel (abort) is needed.

When testing script window, I found a calibration example script that did not work. I'll create a ticket for this.
