Description

We have had complaints from users that the oom killer in the linux kernel is sometimes killing MantidPlot when they are using alot of memory.

I am going to introduce a property that can be set in order to override this behaviour.

This may not be as simple as first thought - if I can't get a solution by the end of the day - I will move to next iteration.

This is not a simple thing to resolve - a normal user cannot modify the appropriate required files in /proc.

Agreed. It must surely be extremely rare anyway.
