Minimum scale value not consistent between two runs of VSI

Description

Testing #7354 showed that raising the VSI a second time on the same workspace after applying log scaling gives a different minimum colour scale value.

The attached pictures show when

  • The VSI was opened
  • Log scaling clicked
  • VSI closed
  • VSI opened
  • Log scaling clicked (image is now different as the scale has changed)
