I’m trying to view a SANS2D data set with the instrument viewer on Mantid 2.6.1 on a RHEL linux machine over VNC.
Even if I turn off the openGL rendering in preferences I don’t get to see a rendered data set. There is an error in the results log too. I have tried shutting down and starting the Mantid session again. It’s almost as if the no opengl option is being ignored.
I have also tried viewing an OffSpec data set with the same result.
Is this a recent problem? Not being able to view without opengl will be a significant problem.
Thanks
Rob

The instrument viewer works over VNC with openGL off. Fixing #7538 and #7902 should help preventing confusion in the future.
