"We have also seen some issues with the plotting in instrument view. If you change the d spacing range while on picking mode, sometimes it doesn't update and you can to go back to render then back to clicking."

It works for me both on windows and ubuntu. Could have been fixed by previous refactoring of the instrument view.

The units do update on the instrument view. Perhaps, the reason for this is a misunderstanding, it may take some time for ConvertUnits to run, and the units in the instrument view won't be updated until it completes.
