Tester: New python unit tests case should be running and passing on all environments. Note that cleaning up the quick.py script, which has been generated by some of the instrument scientists, is not the focus of this task.

Tested on Ubuntu 12.04. Passed tests on my machine, and Jenkins. The test was well written, and easy to understand.
